Daisy-Mae!

November 30, 2009

It’s time you all meet my muse.  This is Daisy Mae, my Blythe doll.

I have the most amazing network of fellow photographer friends that all went in and bought her, along with tons of accessories for me.  I never imagined getting to own one of these, but have LOVED looking at others who had one and how she photographs so well.  It’s all about the photos and the amazing clothes and accessories out there for her, wow-wee!  Thank you again to all who made her possible, I’m so enjoying being a kid again.

While we were setting the table for Thanksgiving dinner, Nathaniel just watched with interest.  I loved how his little face was just barely peeking over the edge of the table.

Soccer stars!

This couple was uber-fun!  They met over soccer and are both coaches, so we used that for some fun photos.  This was one of them I really liked.

I knew this was going to be fun when they said they wanted to look like a young, engaged couple in their photos.  Whoo-hoo!

It’s not gas… I promise!

Nope, she’s just doing what she was told–smiling for the camera.

This little sweetie belongs to a dear friend of mine.  You know those friends in life that are always there for you, no matter how much time passes in-between visits?  This is that friend.  It was wonderful catching up and taking a trip down memory lane together.  This is number #4 for them and the second girl.  Her first girl was born two weeks before our Kendall was to arrive, so we have a special place in our heart for her.  I can remember after we lost Kendall, not wanting to look at kids for a while, but for some reason… I never felt like I couldn’t look or be around her kiddos.  It was a comforting feeling and one I’ll never forget.  I had such a great time this morning spending it with little A and the rest of the family, thank you for opening your home and hearts to me once again.

Good sport.

I often ask bride/grooms to do some pretty random/bizzare things for photos, but it’s always nice when you get those that are up for anything and everything.

This processing totally reminds me of those tinted note cards I used to love with the little boy/girl in them.  Throw back to my childhood for sure!

Groooooovy.

V is such a grounded young lady who knows exactly who she is.  During our session, I was continuously impressed with her passion and intensity.  She’s confident, in a quiet sort of way and gifted with written word.  I wish I could write, it’s always something I’ve admired in others.  I know she’s going places and am thankful to see someone so young, so mature beyond her years.

Oh how I love to photograph feet!  Bare-feet especially.
