You are 2 today.

October 30, 2009

My dearest, sweetest little Natey-

Today, you turn 2.  I’m honestly not sure where the time went and sometimes, feel like everything is a blur.  I remember the day we found out you were going to join us.  What a shocker, but now… I CANNOT imagine my daily life without your smile and joy in it.  You are my joy Nate.  Always greeting with a smile and full of such wonderful expression.  You are sensitive, smart, compassionate, fiesty and my cuddler.

I love to stare at you while you sleep and can’t get enough of your super cute little lips and will miss the day you stop giving me full-on-mouth kisses.  You love your mommy and let me know it by having a special place for me in your heart.

Thank you God for letting us “borrow” Nate for a while, we love him to pieces and look forward to what the next year will hold.

This is just ONE shot from ONE of the photogs we met with on Sunday.  We all exchanged pics for one another and just look at this one  captured of our little fam.

Ice!!

October 27, 2009

We don’t get a ton of this coating ice, so it’s really cool when we do.  Or should I say, it’s cool to me?  I know I’m strange, that’s been proven time and time again, but I just LOVE snow and ice.

I love to step on it and make it go crunch, crunch, crunch under my feet.

Buddies.

October 25, 2009

I absolutely LOVE kids and the friendships they make when they are little.  After all…it’s how I met my husband.

About 6 families met today to exchange photos up in Denver for our Christmas cards and I caught this quick snap after we were done.  I just love it.

This is my Andrew and his buddy, Nicholas.

I love living where I do.  There are so many interesting nooks and crannies to take advantage of.  There’s something for just about every kind of photo shoot and person.  This particular pic was taken behind a used bookstore in downtown Manitou Springs.  Isn’t that crazy?  It just fitted the mood so well and we stumbled upon it quite by accident.

I’ve been so crazy-busy with editing weddings recently that I’ve not been posting as often on the ol’ blog.  I promise to be better about  posting next week (MOM!)

Tenderness.

October 13, 2009

One reason I love photographing weddings.  I truly love to capture these real, tender moments.

Someone slap me.

Can it really be true?  Am I 1 year old already?  Where does the time fly?
