Me in action.

August 30, 2009

So a little out of focus, but check me out… right in the middle of the mix.  Where’s my paint?

Whew…what an order.  21 members in this family and they are now on their way to Canada.  I do think they are especially charming when there are a bunch of members, don’t you?

I just had to post them.  My friend took these a few days ago when a bunch of us got together for a time of photography fun!

Aren’t they cute?

Scale.

I don’t think I pay attention to scale when I photograph most of the time.  But, every now and again, I do.  When I first got my fisheye lens, I especially noticed it for I began to view the world in a different way-you really can’t help but do that with a fisheye.

Emotion.

August 20, 2009

Andrew is starting to explore his emotions and it’s so fascinating to me.  He’ll tell me that this is his happy face or that this is his sad face and then, have me make the same face.  He’ll walk around the living room with his head hunched and his arms crossed and tell me he’s mad at me.  I’ll admit my first reaction is to snicker, but I know that this is a huge step in development and therefore, I need to take the time to allow him to really dig deep into his emotions and feel what he’s feeling.  Both his parents are emotional, so it’s no wonder he’s that way too.

Speaking of emotion, check out this face… sheer joy if you ask me.

Andrew’s new friends.

August 18, 2009

I can’t tell you how many times Andrew has talked about the fish since we recently visited the aquarium.  It’s so great, knowing that we’re helping our boys develop memories that will last a lifetime.  I know that sometimes it’s a lot of effort to get everything together, but it’s so worth it!

Life in Moments Photography

But first I wanted to show you the opposite pic from yesterday’s post.  Back to the business at hand…

Shoot-out.

August 17, 2009

Totally reminds me of the Sharks vs the Jets.  This is the Canon side.  We had a shoot-out, camera style in Downtown Denver on Saturday.  About 20 of us from all over the US and AU met in Denver for a weekend of photography FUN!  It was the best time and I met so many new friends.

Obviously Amanda and I (short spiky red hair) didn’t get the memo and look like we really want to battle, ha.

Eye contact?

August 14, 2009

Omgoodness… I didn’t think it was possible.  Eye contact from a BUSY-BUSY-BUSY 3.5 year old.

I truly love this boy!

An insight into Heather.

August 11, 2009

I am beyond blessed to be married to my best friend.  I cannot imagine life without him.  In fact… it is one of my biggest fears.  There are days where the fear of possibly loosing him plagues me to the point of not being able to function properly.  William is my life, and my love.  Thankfully I don’t live in a state of fear and am constantly asking God to help me through some of my personal struggles.  I have to realize that I am not in control.  Once I can get a hold of that fact, I am much better.

I cannot WAIT until we get to celebrate our 50th anniversary like this beautiful couple recently did.

Thank you God for loaning William to me and I promise for as long as you’ll let me, I’ll love him with all of me.  I promise to take good care of him and strive to compliment him in every possible way.  I am so in love with him and ask you to give us 50+ years together.

Summer weather.

August 10, 2009

For about 20minutes, it was a site to behold outside.  All 4 of us stood at the window and watched, the boys so excited.  Andrew asked if it was snowing and we had to explain to him exactly what it was.  Well… in 3-year old speak of course.

I always love it when there is a rainbow after the storm.
