Summer tradition.
June 29, 2009We are 1/3 of the way through the summer and I think my family has consumed about 7 watermelons. We LOVE watermelon in the summer, especially really cold and juicy watermelon.

This particular bride is very detail orientated and I wanted to make sure we got some detail shots from her day to help fuel that obsession. She’s a big scrapbooker and I wanted to give her a TON of images to choose from when it came to assembling her wedding album.
There’s no way I could post all the detail shots obviously, so here are just a few from the getting ready that I am partial to.
Hope you like them too April (but I have a sneaky suspicion you will, he/he.)

When you spend the time and money to look like a princess, better take a picture to document the transformation.
Who knew that thank-you notes would provide inspiration for ring shots? The best thing is that blue hydrangeas happened to be the flowers for this wedding. I love it when stuff like this happens. Always keep your eyes peeled for you never know where you’ll find inspiration.

So much of the time, we photographers look for shade to shoot in and can forget how glorious the sun can be. The good thing about finding the light is that we have a ton of it around here.

Bring on the sun!

Meet Ashtyn. Isn’t she a cutie-patootie?

I love to photograph weddings, but I have to say that families are a close second. I just love relationship.

We recently introduced the boys to ice cream. William and I both have trouble digesting dairy, so we’ve kind of hesitated to give the boys much because we just didn’t know. We found a brand that does not seem to bother any of us and ever since then, it’s been newfound J.O.Y! It’s Dryers natural just in case any of you have trouble and want to try something new. I think it has something to do with the milk-fat, but anyway…
After church we made the boys a little cone and headed outside. We were going to go to the park, but storm clouds brewed overhead, so we just sat on our porch and enjoyed mint chocolate chip.

After eating ice cream, Dewey spotted a little yellow dandelion and thought momma should have it. I love my little man.

I think this little sweetheart looks like she wants to take off, don’t you? Once she figures out how, there will be no stopping her.
