I’m trying to find something pastel that could work as a background for an upcoming shoot.  Not sure this is it or not, but I did enjoy using Nathaniel as my little “stand-in.”  

I bought these ears at the Dollar Tree for $1!  The best thing about them?  They have elastic underneath so they won’t just fall off–genius for little tykes!

Oh yea, he was bribed with processed sugar.  I have SUCH a weakness for peeps!  I’m not sure he cared for them honestly.  He kept giving me a funny face.

Don’t you love the pink boa?  He’s actually WAY attached to this thing, it’s quite hilarious.  

So, next time you’re needing something for a background and don’t want to buy anything special, look at your bed sheets.  Just be sure to iron them ahead of time, it’ll save you time in the long run.

Hmmm, notice anything strange with this bunny?

Umm…he has ONE ear!  I can’t believe it.  I was so sure that one ball would surely make one little rabbit.  Nope, I’m one ear short.  Ugh.  I even spent a little extra on some super-luxurious alpaca yarn and now…have to buy another ball just to finish this one bunny and I’ve got 3 to go.  I’m making the boys (including my nephews) bunnies for their Easter baskets this year.  After realizing that I can’t complete a bunny from one ball, I’m going to get different yarn for the other 3.  Definitely a learning experience and thankfully I still have a little bit of time before Easter.  

Isn’t this texture fabulous though?  It’s so soft and furry.  I’m quickly becoming a total yarn snob, uh-oh…there goes the budget.

Daddy and Dewey came along too, but I like to think Nate and I had a mommy/son date together.  Check out my almost 17-month old!

How many of us have taken a shot like this one?  

I’m serious…I want a show of hands.  As I was thinking about scrapbooking the other day, I thought about how funny it would be to have a mini album FULL of images like this.  Yes…these are the kinds of things my mind thinks of on snowed-in days like this.  Our mall even closed, now you KNOW that’s a lot of snow.

I’ve got a long way to go, but I can say that I’m finally up and ready to hit the pavement.  It’s been stressful, frustrating, but challenging and exciting all at the same time.  Please excuse me as I try and figure things out along the way.  It may not look the same from day to day even, but at least I got it working.

Because a post needs a photo…or two.
