Laughter is in the air.

I knew this was going to be fun when they said they wanted to look like a young, engaged couple in their photos.  Whoo-hoo!

When I saw their belt buckles, I knew I needed to do a symmetry shot.

Human sized birds.

May 16, 2009

I love finding new locations. I thought this looked a lot like a human-sized birds nest, what do you think?

I want one!

May 12, 2009

Right now, it’s not easy for us to have a dog in our place, but boy do I ever want one.

I got to photograph two of the cutest dogs ever on Sunday.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement about my ring. I am feeling better. Still really sad, but there’s hope.

Sick to my stomach.

May 12, 2009

I’ve been debating whether to even admit this out loud or not. I cannot find my wedding ring.

Ever since my first pregnancy, I’ve not been able to wear it, so it’s always been tucked away nicely in a safe place and I went to pull it out the other day and it’s NOT there! I was panicked. I was mortified. I am livid.

My first impulse was to blame the boys, when in reality… I doubt it was them. It was me. It’s my own stupid fault. It’s me!!! I’m 110% sure it’s in the home somewhere, but I probably won’t find it until we move, which who knows when that will be.

I’m just so sad right now. Heartbroken. It’s not a ring that can be replaced because it’s estate. In fact, we could not even find anyone that would resize it-thus the reason I’m not wearing it in the first place. No one will touch it because they could not replace it should something happen.

Pooh.

I’d been going without wearing even a cheapy ring because I just got used to not wearing a ring. Then, I was listening to Dennis Praguer on the radio and he was talking about the importance of wearing a ring. If a guy was talking about the importance, you know I was listening. I felt convicted. I mean, I wear a fake ring if I’m ever going somewhere important or on a job, but around the home and to the store, I just don’t think about it much.

Not anymore. I’m wearing a fake ring all the time now. Although it sickens me that it’s not my own ring, it’ll do until I either find it, or get a substitute. We won’t be able to ever replace it, but I can’t go without one either.

While at my in-laws Sunday, I decided to at least take a pic of the ring in her roses to try and make me feel better. It didn’t work, but at least the photo is nice….

Tiny bling.

April 27, 2009

This ring is NOT tiny, but the pinecone it’s resting on, is.  I always try to get a creative shot of the ring when possible and look for things that symbolize the shoot.  Since we shot their engagement pictures at the park, I thought the grass and pinecone fit.

I just realized how opposite my last two posts were.  I go from something extreme on the wide side, to something to tiny and detailed.  I crack myself up.

Oh, and I’m so excited.  I finally got a handle on my spam, thanks to several kind souls and Askimet.  In the last 4 hours, Askimet has blocked over 79 spam messages.  Hallelujah!

Stay tuned…

Once again, we fought the Colorado crazy weather and had a super fun session.  This couple is getting married in September and there will be cowboy boots, corn fields and maybe a combine!

Part deaux.

April 13, 2009

Here are just a few more from the engagement shoot last week.  This weekend I’ve got an engagement session in a totally different setting, so I’m anxious to see what it’ll bring.  Oh, and they love the game scrabble so we had to bring it in somehow.
