Soccer stars!

November 21, 2009

This couple was uber-fun!  They met over soccer and are both coaches, so we used that for some fun photos.  This was one of them I really liked.

Good sport.

I often ask bride/grooms to do some pretty random/bizzare things for photos, but it’s always nice when you get those that are up for anything and everything.

This processing totally reminds me of those tinted note cards I used to love with the little boy/girl in them.  Throw back to my childhood for sure!

Tenderness.

One reason I love photographing weddings.  I truly love to capture these real, tender moments.

UBER fun!

September 29, 2009

What a hoot!  This bridal party rocked it out.  They were such troopers as it was getting pretty chilly outside and the girls had to rely on the guys to get them up on that lift.  Yes, such troopers, but hopefully worth it.

Using what you have.

I love the challenge of photographing rings.  I always try and find unique/creative ways to photograph them and often look for random things in nature to use.  This is a branch of a birch tree and the little nub sticking up was the perfect platform for bling!

One for now.

I spent the day yesterday, dodging the rain and getting to photograph a beeeautiful wedding.

Detailing.

June 27, 2009

This particular bride is very detail orientated and I wanted to make sure we got some detail shots from her day to help fuel that obsession.  She’s a big scrapbooker and I wanted to give her a TON of images to choose from when it came to assembling her wedding album.

There’s no way I could post all the detail shots obviously, so here are just a few from the getting ready that I am partial to.

Hope you like them too April (but I have a sneaky suspicion you will, he/he.)

When you spend the time and money to look like a princess, better take a picture to document the transformation.

Who knew that thank-you notes would provide inspiration for ring shots?  The best thing is that blue hydrangeas happened to be the flowers for this wedding.  I love it when stuff like this happens.  Always keep your eyes peeled for you never know where you’ll find inspiration.

April getting married.

June 3, 2009

Where to begin on this one…

I’ve known April for quite a while now and honestly, can’t even remember where we met. We’ve walked through quite a few things together and we’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.

She has met the man of her dreams and her dreams are about to come true this Saturday!!

Although we fought off wind/sleety-rain and chilly temps, we managed to get a few fun shots of her still single, playing dress-up. She will dress-up for real though and I can’t wait to be part of her day.
I love you April and am so estatic!

I have a bunch more shots, but I honestly think I need to lock myself behind the doors to finish everything I’m under a time-crunch to do. Anyone want to come help?

Looking at this shot, I can’t believe it’s Colorado. It looks more like Tennessee with all that glorious green. We’ve had an incredible amount of rain over the past several weeks.
